Bohol, 5am. The boatman is late and we woke up early just to see the dolphins. Ahh..

The wife. She's here.

Boatman?

He's coming soon, she says.

An hour passes.

We're dejected.

Boatman here. We're off to see the dolphins...

Two hours of hunting them down, sharing the ocean with another set of boats full of tourists and NO DOLPHINS.

So that's why this video inspires me that ONE DAY, it will happen to me.

How to keep your dreams alive using a Video Dream Blog

This is a response to the article and comments from MSNBC article called "6,473 texts a month, but at what cost? " I couldn't help it but just let the American readers and scientists know that they're not the only country on the earth. Wait, maybe my message is to the American-centric minds of the MSNBC /Washingtonpost writer Donna St. George who created the article.

Here goes:Let me tell you my experience from a country where all this started/happened 9 years ago.

1. Your children, (and maids and drivers) will eventually have 2-3 phones. But that's the limit. Some will go back to 2, some will stay at 3 phones - a small percentage (the oldies?) will just have one.

2. A very small percentage will STOP texting altogether and will demand that you call them or meet them to get their attention.

3. Most will continue texting, but once they're out of school, the text rate will decrease and eventually be devoted mostly to "setting up meetings" texts or "i'm bored in this party/meeting, I should text someone".

4. When dining out or inside the house, they will still absent mindedly twirl the phone like an ornament, even if it is $500 worth.

5. Some impressionable youths will start typing emails in txtspeak, or answer forums in txtspeak. This should be prevented by using heavy social sanctions (ostracize!, jk).

6. They will still sleep with the phone in arms reach.

7. How did we fix the unlimited texting "sickness?". We didn't. The telcos got smart and started charging for individual texts. Soon texting became limited because the phone had no more "load" to text. So allowance or lack of extra money limited the text counts.  Of course, until the telcos discovered "Pass A Text", where children can request anybody (working siblings) to send them "load".

8. Touch screen phones prevents texting while driving. Want to stop it? Get your children an iphone or a prada or a nokia 5800 variant.  Actually touch screens prevent texting while doing most ANYTHING.

9. Keypad phone texters will have mastered texting with one hand that they can watch the road and text with one hand - of course absentmindedly driving and dangerously distracted. But they will still do this. Even cab drivers.

10. You all might as well stop the highest text done in a day contests because it's futile. In our little country, the number of texts a day equals the number of texts in the US for a month. No kidding - and with a fraction of the texting population.Ok, this part reserves a citation but only if you're American, the Filipinos and people in the telecom industry worldwide already know this.

This is my eleven thousand pesos worth.

The future of children and mega-texting

Robert Kiyosalki (rich dad, poor dad) gives out his new book: Conspiracy of the Rich and Crowdsources it too!

Just watched an episode of TED.com --it's not a TV show, its an ongoing forum of big thinkers in the world:

I wondered about the man's first statement --he says HE THINKS ABOUT THE FUTURE, and how we can solve the worlds problems. Then he says "ITS ACTUALLY MY JOB" at Worldchanging.com

It just made me think.

How much time do we really spend THINKING THE RIGHT THOUGHTS? I think we spend too little time doing this kind of thinking. Worrying yes, but big thinking? Hardly. Sometimes maybe. When we're thinking of our dream earnings -but not more relevant questions like the ones below (see widget).

But if you're a starting entrepreneur, maybe it would help to spark your mind if you watched ALL the TED.com shows and download this WIDGET so that your mind will start churning and asking BIG questions.

As Tony Robbins Said - "The quality of your life depends on the quality of the questions you ask".
And Jomar Hilario adds - "...with courage to the right people."

Are You Asking The Right Questions in Life?

I'm finally done with talks with my Virtual Assistant (VA) Team and they're now ready to take on new work from you.  But there are conditions, visit http://va.jomarhilario.com to know more.

But why hire a VA?

The Top 10 Reasons to Hire a Virtual Assistant
Category: Entrepreneurs, Small Business, Home Office (AA63)
Originally Submitted on 10/29/2000.

Having a virtual assistant is fast becoming a need for the
busy entrepreneur, small businees owner and person on the
run. With the advent of new technologies and ways of doing
business, the VA has stepped up to help you along your way.
Below are the top ten reasons to hire a virtual assistant for
yourself.

So here are 10 reasons why you need one:

1. Focus on the business of making money.
Having a VA allows you the freedom to create more
profitability for your company by allowing you to
concentrate solely on your business, not the mundane tasks
that are inherent in business. Making money is what
business people do and the more time they have to
concentrate on their business, the more money and
opportunity they will create.

2. Saves you money.
Why invest in payroll, benefits, insurance, etc. when you
could be delegating that money to building your business.
Why worry about personnel calling in sick or taking
vacations? There is no need to hire in-house personnel when
a VA can be there when you need them to perform the duties
that you need in running your business.

Having a virtual assistant is fast becoming a need for the
busy entrepreneur, small businees owner and person on the
run. With the advent of new technologies and ways of doing
business, the VA has stepped up to help you along your way.
Below are the top ten reasons to hire a virtual assistant for
yourself.

3. Freedom to pursue pleasurable activities.
Having a VA work with you frees you up to pursue the
activities that help keep your creative juices flowing. When
you are bogged down wondering if the bills are paid, you are
not thinking about new and exciting ways in which your
business could be growing.

4. One-stop shopping.
A VA can perform duties that range from word processing,
maintaining billing - both personal and business, creating
marketing tools such as brochures, flyers and business cards,

5. Tailored to fit your needs.
Whether you need one letter typed or need monthly billing
to clients, a VA can perform these duties. They are set up to
fit each individual client's needs. Fees are arranged for one-
time tasks to retainer of 10, 20 or 40 hours per week or
month. Whatever your needs are, the VA and you create
your own individual working partnership.

6. Freedom to work from any location.

Whether you are in your office, your home or on vacation in
Tahiti, a VA is always accessible to you. Contact is
maintained through telephone, fax and e-mail.

7. Delegate time-consuming responsibilities.
Let a VA take care of those responsibilities so that you may
pursue (worry-free) the business of living your life and
running your business.

8. Highly trained personnel.

VAs are professionals that have training in the corporate,
small business and professional world and have tailored their
skills to meet with the needs of the modern day business
professional. They have found that every professional has
varying needs and offer their expertise in caring for these
needs.

9. Individual service provided.
For the entrepreneur, freelancer or small business, it is
important that your particular needs are seen as unique. A
VA is the person who will oversee your business and/or
personal life. They can maintain your mailing lists, maintain
correspondence, keep track of memberships that need to be
renewed, remind you of important dates, arrange travel or
send flowers. They act as your partner in caring for those
tasks personally.

10. Let their strengths be your strength.
Why waste time on tasks that are not your primary
objective? Being a successful business owner entails hiring
the right people for the right job. By hiring a VA, you are
partnering with the professional that has the knowledge of
the inner workings of the administrative and corporate fields.

So you want to hire a virtual assistant to create your blogs and promote?

Sober news.

Bo Sanchez texted this to me: Alex Bunag, one of your classmates in last weekend's Internet Marketing Workshop in Cubao died today. Heart Attack. He's a 48 year old (too young!) retired banker, he told me.

His first and last words to me were:

"If the Lord God permits I will really be rich and successful in the Internet Business....Again, I am so happy to have known you personally. More power to you and God Bless you.

Warmest regards
Alex Padilla Bunag"

This of course made me pause a while to consider things.

Immediately I thought : You must know that internet income IS inheritable.

I think I need to repeat that.

If you leave, all your family needs to do GET THE INTERNET INCOME COMING TO THEM INSTEAD OF YOU is to:

1. Change the adsense codes in your blogs (so this means you need to have a list of usernames and passwords and blog names).

2. Change the PAYPAL buttons and shopping cart buttons to reflect their own accounts.

This means you need to prepare these things:
1. A list of accounts and passwords for blogger/paypal/shoppingcart.
2. Detailed instructions on how to transfer things
3. Or if I'm handy, tell them to email ME and if they know the account details I can walk them through the process.

What you build now -using Internet Business -is not just for you. It's for your FAMILY --even if you leave early.

For those who are still holding out on ACTION, making the blogs etc.
Let this be you WAKE UP CALL.

And if you're still thinking "I am going to avail of Jomar's Online Workshop at http://www.homebasedbusinessphilippines.com?" PAUSE and THINK NOW. It's better to be prepared.

Jomar

P.S. Personally, my wife, my father and sisters ALL have internet incomes being developed - talk about being READY!

ARE YOU CONFUSED ABOUT why the economy in the US and world is collapsing? Robert Kiyosaki (best selling author that everyone on the planet has read) is offering a solution -- to clear your head. In an online book that's free for reading called the THE 8 NEW RULES OF MONEY.

As of now, the INTRO and FIRST CHAPTER is up for you to read at CONSPIRACY OF THE RICH. When you signup, just mention in the forum that JOMARHILARIO invited you.

Yes, it's a new book and an online book and ITS FREE. But you get to write or discuss it with him as he writes it. This is called CROWDSOURCING. So whatever you say may or may not impact the coming chapters.

Here's more about it from the site:
The Right Book. The Right Time. The Right Price.

Robert Kiyosaki, author of the #1 bestselling personal finance book of all time, Rich Dad Poor Dad is taking a new approach with his next book. He’s releasing the book, Conspiracy of the Rich: The 8 New Rules of Money, online — for free. And he’s inviting readers to participate in the writing process.

Conspiracy of the Rich: The 8 New Rules of Money, will be an interactive project in which Kiyosaki will not only offer his written ‘draft’ chapters online, but invite feedback, commentary and questions from readers across the globe via website forums and blogs. Reader feedback will then be incorporated into the book as it is written and released, chapter by chapter, on the Internet. This bold and unique approach will enable the millions of people around the world who have put the Rich Dad principles to work in their lives — as well as those who are challenged by today’s harrowing economic times — to engage directly with Kiyosaki and literally help him shape his new book as it is being written.

“We are living in tumultuous, unsettling and frightening economic times,” said Rick Wolff, Vice President and Executive Editor for Hachette Book Group, publisher of Rich Dad Poor Dad and the 26 books in the Rich Dad series, “and Robert believes that people today, perhaps more than ever before, are hungry for information and financial education. The fact that he is committed to writing and distributing a new book to the world for free is amazing to us, and indicative of his genuine concern for the challenging economic times in which we live. Today, more than ever, the world needs a voice they can trust and someone they can rely on to deliver the cold, hard facts about what is really happening in the world.”

“This is the right book, at the right time, at the right price,” says Kiyosaki, in reference to the free and universal access to this book. “This is not the time for traditional answers. The time for this book is now — and the Web will let us do that.”
About the Book

Conspiracy of the Rich: The 8 New Rules of Money will share Kiyosaki's view of global economics and explore why people are now finding themselves challenged by these turbulent times. Kiyosaki will not only provide people with solutions to their financial problems, but explain what created today’s economic chaos — and how it can be eased. Conspiracy of the Rich: The 8 New Rules of Money will reveal that what appears to be the worst of times is actually an opportunity in the making, and a chance for people to invest in their financial education.

Read an excerpt from the book:

Back to the Future

Faced with such an overwhelmingly bad economy, President Bush pushed through a landmark bailout plan aimed at saving the economy, saying, “This legislation will safeguard and stabilize America’s financial system and put in place permanent reforms so these problems will never happen again.”

Many people breathed a sigh of relief, thinking, “Finally, the government is going to save us!” The problem is those are not the words of President George W. Bush. Those are the words of his father, George H.W. Bush. In 1989, the first President Bush asked for $66 billion to save the Savings and Loan (S&L) Industry. The $66 billion did not solve the problem. The S&L industry disappeared from sight. On top of that, the estimated $66 billion rescue package eventually cost taxpayers over $150 billion – over twice the amount originally estimated. Where did all that money go?

Like Father Like Son

Twenty years later in September 2008, President W. Bush asked for $700 billion making a similar promise, “We’ll make sure, as time goes on, this doesn’t happen again. In the mean time, we got to solve the problem. And that’s why people sent me to Washington, D.C.”

Just as with the first President Bush, the estimated bailout cost was severely undervalued. By November 2008, the total bailout pledge through various Treasury programs was up to $7 trillion and today is expected to go higher. Where is all this money coming from, where is it going…and to whom?

(From the site)
Q: Why is this book free?

A: Robert is offering Conspiracy of the Rich: The 8 New Rules of Money to the public for free because he hears and feels the same things you do. We are all angry, frustrated and afraid. Many people helpless, and at the mercy of decision makers who may not have our best interests at heart — and, even if they do, may or may not be able to right this economic ship. This is the best time to further your financial education, and what better way to do it than with a free book?
Q: When are the new chapters posted?

A: New chapter postings will be updated on a regular basis. If you’ve registered for the site, you will receive an email notification every time a new chapter is posted to the site.
Q: What inspired you to write about this topic?

A: There’s no time left for bad advice. Many of us are out of the asset called ‘time.’ When the stock market plummeted 900 points in two days following the election of Barack Obama, a message was sent. It was clear and simple: the rules of money have changed.

Someone needs to take a look at these rules, and shed light on the conspiracy that made the financial system and our economy the way it is today. An understanding of the system will enable people to take control of their financial futures.
Q: Is the book going to be published?

A: Yes. After its interactive development stage on the Internet, the plan is to have the book published, and include contributions from site members. Tentatively, you can look for the book to be published in Fall/Winter of 2009. Once it is published, it will no longer be available online. If you are a registered member of the site, you will be notified when the book is available for purchase.
Q: Where can I learn more?

A: The lessons and information provided in this book are meant to be just a start for people to learn about the financial systems around us. Hopefully, this learning will give people the motivation to take control of their financial futures. If you're ready for more, visit RichDad.com for other information and financial education tools.
Q: Will reading this book make me rich?

A: This book is not a 'magic pill.' And, if it were... it would be a bitter pill indeed. Because making change isn’t easy. Investing time in your financial education — your future — isn't easy. But you can do it if you choose to.
Q: How are all of these historical events relevant to what's going on today?

A: Sometimes you'll find that Robert is much of a historian, because it's by studying the past that we can see the future. Understanding the past helps create the future we want and deserve. Together we’ll look back on history, and in doing so, gain insight into the future.

Unfortunately, as Warren Buffet says, "The one thing we have learned from history is that humans fail to learn from history." Hopefully, this book will help alleviate some of that folly.
Q: Where are your facts from?

A: Robert is the consummate student who is reading and learning on an ongoing basis. Books referenced in his work will range from bestsellers to little known self published titles, news sources, etc. All historical facts, references and citations will be included in the final printed version of the book.
Q: What kind of feedback and contributions are you looking for?

A: The book, and this site are meant to address the questions and issues that are on everyone’s mind currently, so that the book and the advice it contains is as relevant and helpful as possible. Robert is looking for readers to challenge thoughts, ask questions, and create relevant feedback as they read and review the site. Constructive, collaborative feedback benefits everyone.
Q: How do you plan to make money off of this?

A: Making a profit off of this book is not the reason this project was started. Robert is writing this book to continue to do what he's already started with Rich Dad Poor Dad, to provide financial education to individuals around the world. In that this is uncharted territory, it became apparent that the messages and the teachings in the book could not wait for traditional publishing timelines and timetables, so he wanted to bring it online, for free.
Q: Now that I’ve read the book, what’s next?

A: If you haven’t already, it’s time to start taking control of your financial future, and improve your financial literacy. That’s the first step. Visit RichDad.com for more.
Q: Will my contributions be included in the book?

A: If you have opted-in to have your site contributions included in the book, they may be included in the final, printed version, along with potential credit for your contribution, if you provide us with that information in the site registration process. If you haven’t, be sure to provide your information in your Member Profile Page.
Q: How will I receive credit?

A: If you contribute to the book discussion in the Discussion forum, your contribution may or may not be used in the final published book. If it is, we plan to include your name in the book credits. Of course, you can remain anonymous if you choose to — you can make that choice when you register for the site. All contributions on the site will be considered for the published book.
Q: Why do I need to provide personal info for credit?

A: To accurately include you as a collaborator in the book development process, we ask for your full name, city, state, country and contact information. If we include your contribution in the book, you may be credited for your comments, unless you choose to remain anonymous.
