Now You Can Get a Glimpse of What the Virtual Assistant Life is Like

Myth_of_work_at_home

You pass through a mall, you see lots of things you'd love to have.
A chair, a watch, a dress, a cabinet, food, a camera...

You think having the means to buy everything you want would be great.

Yes?

Now I'm asking you to think about that some more.

Is it really?

Correct. It's better than having nothing, eating nothing and giving nothing because you think you lack so much.

Now lets assume now you're rich.

You've "done it!". Everything you wanted to buy, except for a couple of "big ticket" things like the Hope Diamond or Necker Island - you can buy.

And let's assume you're doing your business from home. Just like me.

So life is bliss now huh?

Think about it again.

If life was all that great - to you - work at home, earning much - how come you're slowly inching your way towards it?

You seem to take your time, no hurries - to get there.

You do hurry in the morning, wounding yourself while shaving --because the boss might get mad at you again for being late again. Even more -- you might run out of parking space - so you disobey traffic laws, cut the person in front of you - do everything in your power just to get there on time - EVERYDAY.

So think! Is it really that important to you to become that wealthy?

Or is parking space everyday more important?

Why do you want to be truly rich in the first place? Ah, yes we already talked about that - so you can buy every great and nice thing that money can buy - -and you want to do it from home so you can have more time with loved ones.

Truly noble.

So look at your direction today, is it the same direction as the last 10 years ago? Or has it changed?

Do you still believe that YOU hold the answer to changing your direction?

Or now do you believe that someone who's been to Everest many times can actually help you get there yourself?

Or maybe you'll try to go there yourself - without any help --hence you're slow?

All I'm asking this afternoon is that you think some more about this if you haven't done any action.

If you're already doing action, multiply it 1000x -that's the way to succeed.

More thoughts tomorrow.

The myth of work at home...and having lots of money

One day a man was nursing a glass of wine (for the nth time) and thought to himself,

'What if I wasn't an alcoholic? What if I wasn't an absent father all these years?
What if I cared more for the people I love instead of caring for my alcohol needs?"
And just like that he stopped drinking and started living.
-Jim Rohn

For some it takes ages to change, for some --its just a single moment - and suddenly his life turns around.
It's the day you turn your life around.

You Can Make That Change Today

Q: Jojie DD:
Hi Jomar, I've known about you as I received an email from Bo
referring you to his subscribers. I'm interested to work from home
too, but more as an internet marketer. I want to have clients too like
those from odesk but I'm not sure if I could handle both my work and
client's demands, so I'm thinking maybe online selling is better for
me (is it the same with internet marketing?) I've gotten quite
confused on what seminar to download from your site, can you recommend
the one for a beginner like me? I'm interested in blogs too. Thanks!

A: Beginners...must start doing VA (getting clients from Odesk as a
Virtual Assistant) work. It works kasi. the task of an online marketer
and a VA is the same. Only the owner of the product is different for
the two (va's dont own, create products, they just market).
Summary:
1. Become a part time VA.
2. Get 2 gigs (work) to become a full time VA, replacing your regular
income with 2 gigs working from your home.
3. Then you can become an online marketer.

That's the process that works so far. For Pinoys.

Nov 5 is the next VA seminar or just download it TONIGHT:

Lecrae - Just Like You

"Just Like You"
(feat. J. Paul)

[J-Paul:]
I just wanna be like you,
Walk like, talk like, even think like you
The only one I could look to
You're teaching me to be just like you
Well I just gotta be like,
I just gotta be like you

[Verse 1: Lecrae]
Yeah, Uncle Chris, Uncle Keith, Uncle Ricky,
Before the Lord get me I gotta say something quickly
I grew up empty since my daddy wasn't with me shoot,
I wasn't picky I'd take any male figure
You
Stepped in at the right time,
It's 'cause of you that I write rhymes
You probably never knew that
I loved the way you used to come through come through,
Teach me to do the things that men do
True,
You showed me stuff I probably shouldn't have seen,
But you rebelled and made it out your teens,
And took me under your wings
I wanted hats, I wanted clothes just like you,
Lean to the side when I rolled just like you
And care people didn't like you,
You wanna bang, I wanna bang too
Skyline, pyru
You would've died, I would've died too,
You went to prison, got sick, lost your pops,
Yeah, I cried too
You never know who's right behind you,
Gotta a little son now and he do whatever I do
But it's something deep inside you,
That tell it's gotta be more than doing what other guys do,
They had nobody there to guide you
But I followed your footsteps and this shouldn't surprise you,
You realize you, you, you
Yeah,

[Chorus:]
I just wanna be like you,
Walk like, talk like, even think like you
The only one I could look to,
You're teaching me to be just like you
Well I just gotta be like,
I just gotta be like you

[Verse 2:]
Now all I see is money, cars, jewels,
Stars
Womanizers, tough guys, guns, knives, and scars,
Drug pushers, thugs, strippers, fast girls, fast life
Everything I wanted and everything I could ask life
If this ain't living and they lied well,
Guess I married an old wives' tale
Wow, fail
I don't know another way to go,
This is the only way they ever showed
I got this emptiness inside that got me fighting for approval because I missed out on my daddy saying, way to go,
And get that verbal affirmation on know how to treat a woman,
Know how to fix an engine,
That keep the car running
So now I'm looking at the media and following what they feed me,
Rap stars, trap stars,
Whoever wants to lead me
Even though they lie they still tell me that they love me,
They say I'm good at bad things at least they proud of me

[Chorus:]
I just wanna be like you,
Walk like, talk like, even think like you
The only one I could look to
You're teaching me to be just like you
Well I just gotta be like,
I just gotta be like you
(Like you)

[Verse 3:]
I was created by God but I ain't wanna be like Him,
I wanna be Him
The Jack Sparrow of my Caribbean
I remember the first created being,
And how he shifted the blame on his dame
On fruit he should't have eaten
And now look at us all out of Eden,
And now look at us all that are eating,
Wearing designer fig leaves by Louis Vuitton
Make believe it
But God sees through my foolish pride,
And I'm weak life Adam another victim of Lucifer's foolish lies
But then in steps Jesus,
All men were created to lead but we need somebody to lead us
More than a teacher,
But somebody who buy us back from the darkness,
Say He redeemed us,
Taught us that real leaders follow God,
Finish the work 'cause we on our job
Taught us not to rob
But give life love a wife like He loved the Church,
Not seeing how many hearts we can break first
I wanna be like you in every way,
So if I gotta die everyday
Unworthy sacrifice
But the least I can do is give the most to me
Because being just like you is what I'm 'spose to be
You said you came for the lame,
I'm the lamest
I made a mess you say you'll erase it,
I'll take it
You said you came for the lame,
I'm the lamest
I broke my life, but you say you'll replace it,
I'll take it.

(I just gotta be like,..)

Grey market prices of these Iphone 4S is at P 50,000+ for the 16GB and going up until the 64GB (up to 65,000 pesos).
Now compare that with the Official Apple-announced prices to appear around 3 weeks from now (november) in the US:

Unlocked_iphone_4s_prices_phil

850 U.S. dollars = 36 710.7195 Philippine pesos --the maximum Iphone 4S price in the US is around P 37,000 so if you pay P 65,000 for a grey market Iphone 4s in Manila, the Philippines, you're giving away 28,000 pesos profit for your grey market importer.

What's the bottom line? Wait a few weeks and you may get that 64 GB Siri Enabled Iphone 4S for
P 33- 37,000 as it should be!

But then again, there's still something to be said about "being first" - even if you're just first for a few days.

Will you wait or buy now?

Your Jomar Hilario Events /Downloadables for 2011

Petra-more-power-to-ya-back

Q: HI Jomar, I hope this isn't a VA reading this.  We met again during one of your QC guest talks. I haven't been doing internet marketing but....

I remember that I haven't heard anyone talk about his passion for Christian music mode than Jomar does. And with that, may I request for leads on which group, band or songs to download?

Been finding more direction in life following God's Will more than when I follow my own.

A: Yep, this is not a VA. The trick to CCM is you should read the lyrics while you're listening for the first time -for all songs. Otherwise it will just sound like any song that means nothing to you.

This is more pronounced for heavy rock songs.

Some imagery will also be unclear --unless you read the bible extensively. So read your bible too.

To begin with:
1. Get all of Skillet's old albums : Skillet, Alien Youth,  Ardent Worship (the hardest rocking worship album you can hear they don't event do it in church because it's just too hard), Collide, Comatose, Awake

2. Then get Superchic[k]'s Last One Picked.    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superchick
This one's a classic.  You can also get Regeneration, which is a remix album of their greatest hits.

3. For softlandings, locate the Chill out Worship series, there are two of those.  http://www.amazon.com/Chillout-The-Worship-Xperience/dp/B00078Y3WQ

4. For 70's rock, get Petra's Back to the Rock. I know every lyric in this album.

5. Any album by Chris Rice will make you think, enjoy and think and have fun. He's that good.

6. Female vocals? Rebecca St James "God" for rocking basic Christianity.  All her albums are good and has a lot of electronic noise - but it dies down so you can hear the words when she sings.

God bless in your quest. It works to read the bible while you're listening to :
"More Power To Ya" by Petra:

Words and music by Bob Hartman
Based on Isaiah 40:31

You say you've been feeling weaker, weaker by the day
You say you can't make the joy of your salvation stay
But good things come to them that wait
Not to those who hesitate
So hurry up and wait upon the Lord

(Chorus)
More power to ya
When you're standing on His word
When you're trusting with your whole heart in the message you have heard
More power to ya
When we're all in one accord
They that wait upon the Lord, they shall renew, they shall renew their strength

Jesus promised His disciples He'd give strength to them
Jesus told them all to tarry in Jerusalem
When they were all in one accord
The power of His Spirit poured
And they began to turn the world around

So be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might
Put on all His armor and fight the good fight
In all of our weakness, He becomes so strong
When He gives us the power and the strength to carry on

Look at the Payroll Salary Ranges for Pinoys 2011:

You know if I were looking at this list back in 2007, I would be saying, wow: they're paying their employees in a large range of salaries.

And maybe I'd even say, "Wow, these people are making a lot of money!".

But these are yearly salaries for Filipinos.

And I can't tell you want I'm thinking when I see these numbers today because:

1. You won't believe me.
2. You'll just think I'm joking.
3. You'll just think I'm stretching the truth.

Truth is, a business person looks at this list differently than an employed person.

Question is, how would you like to see this list? From who's perspective are you willing to see from?

This Creative Writing Tip #3 by Frank Hilario is crazy:

Write your draft onscreen.

In the beginning, write like crazy, but write onscreen.

Very rough draft first.

From zero, with your word processor - I use Microsoft Word; I love it because it has so many shortcuts - type your notes and thoughts into your computer. Type them as they come, in no order; separate each thought by pressing Enter. The thing is to jot them down and save them so that you don't lose them.

Your 1st draft should be something you would be ashamed to show to someone else - so don't! - but it's a necessary 1st step to get your thoughts down "on paper" (onscreen, saved on file).

Here's a quick example; here's your draft in the form of a story of only 7 parts; I will call it

The Cinderella Draft

who were very cruel to her

ever after

there lived in a big house

happily

Cinderella, her stepmother and 3 stepsisters

once upon a time

and they lived.

The disarray, disorganization of thoughts in this simple example is obvious - in your draft, it wouldn't be so simple. But keep in mind that what you are trying to produce is a draft, no matter that it is a bad draft, as bad as or even worse than The Cinderella Draft. So, when you begin an article, think of The Cinderella Draft!

Truth to tell, all drafts are bad. You wouldn't believe how bad the 1st drafts of my own articles are.

The next step is to go back to your bad draft and rework it. But don't revise immediately; lay it aside for at least half a day; find something else to do, then you can go back to it.

No, don't use the Grammar & Spelling checker of your word processor just yet.

Remember: Aim at a topsy-turvy story like The Cinderella Draft the first time you write the article. Why? This will defeat your Writer's Block. I guarantee it!
Now live a marvelous life,

Jomar Hilario for Frank Hilario, the Creative Easy Writer

P.S. This tip alone is super valuable, if you're deciding to skip reading this, go up and read it in full!

Go online anytime, but go online. You will gain insights because there are a great many good writers and good sources of information in the Internet on any topic. And a topic you search gives you links - and therefore ideas - to other topics.
To get the most out of the Internet, you have to learn to do a good search. If you don't know it yet, learn to use the double quotes for phrases or full names when doing a search, as in Google:
"frank a hilario" - 116,000 results as of 01 October 2011
"st therese" "little way" OR "little flower" - 424,000 results as of 01 October 2011
You don't have to capitalize any word; you get exactly the same results cap or lower case. Sometimes a period is important: "frank a. hilario" gives me only 79,800 results. Because I don't write my middle initial with a period anymore.
The word OR (all caps) in the search tells Google to give me the pages that contain "st therese" and "little way" as well as "st therese" and "little flower" - she is known for both appellation: St Therese of the Little Flower, St Therese of the Little Way. I don't want to miss either nickname.
You need to log into the Internet to add to the notes you got from your reading. Remember, the Internet is the biggest, widest, deepest, and longest library in the world. And it's (almost) free.
For instance, I was reading today (30 September 2011) about the Philippine Airlines Employees Association (Palea) protest. It was only after I read 4 different news reports on the same incident that I saw the exact reason for the protest: PAL wants to outsource 2,600 jobs in ground maintenance.
What does that mean? Precisely the reason why you should do more search. What do the terms "outsourcing" and "ground maintenance" mean? They're important for your understanding of the developments, why the Palea members are protesting.
Then as you read 2 or more versions of the same story, I am sure you will gain an insight into the
story itself, what other people missed. It always happens to me. Just like I looked for the meaning of "outsourcing" and I learned that it is in favor of PAL management but it is not in favor of local crews.

So why is PAL insisting on outsourcing? That's your story.

P.S. Please free up your October 27,2011. Whole day. Why? Tomorrow knows.
P.S. Tomorrow also knows tip #3 in Creative Writing.

Why PAL is insisting on Creative Writing

I heard from the best marketers that if you want to become succesful in online business you NEED to take a WRITER's course or lesson. Any kind of writers course will do, but the creative writing is BEST.

So my father, Frank A Hilario just got awarded "Outstanding for Creative Writing" by The Outstanding UPLB Alumni Award last week for his work after graduating in 1965 BS Agriculture.

I asked him for tips and he gave me 5. Here's the first one for all of you out there -specially aspiring bloggers and sellers online:

5 Creative Writing Tips by Frank Hilario

Read.

Read what you want, but read only the positive. It's good for you.

You need to read because you need to know many things first before you can write very well on a topic. If you know very little, you can't write much.

Read books, magazines, newspapers, comics, or children's literature whatever. You will learn more.

How do you know that a reading material is good for you? It's good for you whether it's argumentative or narrative, as long as overall it's positive. It's good for you if it tells a story. You feel good about it. Your reading should make you feel good, or better.

You have to read more and more. Read on your topic at the moment. Read also on indirectly related topics. This will increase your understanding of your topic. Take notes. You don't have to memorize. Me, I read 2 or even 3 times the same notes; I understand more when I do that.

Me, I read on even unrelated topics, because they give me ideas. Buy old books, old magazines, scan old reading materials. Browse them. Read them. Browse them again, read them again.

Read old and new American magazines & newspapers; they have the best stories bar none. Our education was/is inspired by the American system; with English, we are at our best. Our best Filipino writers write in English! Carlos P Romulo, Pulitzer Prize winner. Carlos Bulosan, best Filipino writer abroad. Nick Joaquin, best Filipino writer in the islands. Their best works are in English. (Not to mention that English is easier to understand than our own Filipino literature.)
More tomorrow!

I have an issue with To all Interior Designers, Construction & Real Estate people. Apparently, there's something I don't understand.

What is the process of hiring someone to renovate a room in a Condo?

Is the rule --Jomar, you SHOULDN'T LIVE in a CONDO because designers hate condo rules. That's why they avoid it.

Is the rule --DESIGNERS hate rooms, have them re-do your house instead.

Is the rule-make sure NOBODY is in the house when they do the construction --ELSE they won't take it.

How come it's been months and we're having such a hard time getting a decent person to create our custom furniture and cabinets for our small 3 square meter x 6 square meter children's room?

Everytime I ask someone to come over and see our proposed designs (in drawings on paper) their either disappear or simply stop communicating after a few emails.

Even follow up emails don't work.

Is this the case that I should assume these people DO NOT USE EMAIL?

Shall I have to call them up then?

Are the people who design rooms so LOW TECH they don't open emails DAILY??

What is the secret here?

Sometimes, I email the 6 page rough design with a nice message asking for a quote, they don't reply or they come over, measure --then NOTHING.

I seem to be on the butt end of a big cosmic industry wide JOKE.

Are contractors and interior designers the PICKEST FREELANCERS on the planet?

Will they NORMALLY DO THIS to people who are NOT SUPER WEALTHY and thus "may not be able to pay them"?

Is the interior design industry really that UNPROFESSIONAL?

Let me tell you that we've all been so nice to these people.

Or maybe is it the case that these people DONT LIKE CUSTOMER DESIGNS -- they prefer that people just say "YES" to their designs.

Maybe they avoid clients who can DRAW because they KNOW there might be clashes in the END?

Or maybe they know they will do a lousy job and that SINCE I'm a very public person --I can showcase their lousy job online?

Is that it then?

What seems to be the secret that I DO NOT KNOW!!!!!

Help me out here. I'm so tired of looking and showing the room around to strangers only to have them disappear.

Q: While I appreciate all what you are sending me, until now I am
still undecided about attending your seminar.  To be honest, I am yet
to check the web for the testimonies of those who have really made it
in terms of income after attending your seminar.   And whether is it
really for me?  I would like to make sure also if it is time for me
now to spend significant amount (for me ha) to buy a desktop or a
laptop before or after your seminar.

I am in my mid-life and desire for a career that allows me to live
comfortably, financial- and schedule-wise.

I hope I could decide sooner.

God bless you and your growing family :)

Dear Anabelle,

Hi. This is personal.  My pregnant wife was given a bedrest order by
her doctor. I need to personally serve her breakfast, lunch and dinner
in bed as well as not to take care of both kids. It's for the best for
the new baby who's due to arrive in 1.5 months.

With the Cagayan De Oro seminars coming up in Oct 15-16, I've decided
to prioritize what's more important: my family. So I will not be going
there this month, we're postponing it to Jan 14-15,2012. Yes - this
means we're extending the early bird discount till the end of October
2011.

The Cebu seminars on Oct 29-30 will push through if there's enough of
you who have signed up for it. So if you're coming, please invite your
friends using the super great come in pairs discount.

I hope the people of Mindanao will understand this. If suddenly your
loved one is ordered weeks of bed rest - wouldn't it be great if you
were also at home to serve her?

I hope you agree.

This work at home setup is ideal to show how much you love the people you love.

In the meantime, see you all tonight at 8pm for a free preview of the
VA Seminar and upcoming Deep Internet Secrets seminar.
There are parts of both seminars which I will not include in the live
event, instead I'm showing it to you --tonight --for free.

So find out tonight- Philippine time....
-How Filipinos are percieved by Foreigners when it comes to work at home.
-How are Filipinos in comparison to Indians when it comes to VA work?
-What does another internet marketer say about Pinoy VAs?
-How you can actually work from home -- the overview, step by step
-Plus you get to ask live questions from me.

It's all happening tonight at 8pm, just make sure you're part of this

Who have you helped, Jomar?

Sometimes when you try to buy stuff online, you get the wrong amount but the person selling --- is telling you that the price is right.

That's because you probably pressed BUY many times in the past.
